Continuous Emissions Monitoring FTIR

atmosFIR CEM

atmosFIR CEM is a complete emissions monitoring system incorporating the atmosFIR 19” FTIR analyser. As completely hot and wet emissions measurement, atmosFIR CEM is ideal for complete measurement of multiple gases from applications such as incineration and power. A standard gas suite of NO, NO2, N2O, SO2, NH3, HCl, HF, CH4, O2, CO2 and H2O is provided, but with the powerful FTIR analyser, further gases can be added easily in software.

At the heart of system is the high-resolution, robust and proven FTIR spectrometer offering high signal throughput, low-noise and long lifetime of components. atmosFIR has been developed to incorporate the latest improvements and advantages in technology, The atmosFIR FTIR analyser contains an in-built sampling system and is designed for ppm-level emissions monitoring. The analyser can be used as a portable or bench-top unit as well as part of the installed CEM system.

atmosFIR CEM is a complete multigas analyser system using FTIR technology:

  • Waste Incineration Emissions monitoring
  • Combustion emissions from oil and gas
  • Core FTIR module available for integration
  • Meets the requirements of EN 15267-3, QAL1 and EN14181

Continuous Emissions Monitoring FID

atmosFID Total VOC analyser

The atmosFID Total VOC Analyser is designed for Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) of gaseous VOC emissions from a wide range of sources – waste incineration, combustion sources, paint shops and manufacturing processes. As a 19” rack analyser it can be provided in a complete fixed emissions system from Protea, or can be used as a standalone analyser.

With quick measurement time and a complete heated sample path at 300°C, the atmsoFID can also operate as a process control, indoor VOC detector or automotive emissions tester.

Continuous Emissions Monitoring TDL

Solus NH3 HCL Analyser

Introducing Protea's new range of laser gas analysers - Solus. The Solus platform represents an extension of Protea's spectroscopic gas analysis equipment into laser based technology, allowing for highly selective, quick response and low range measurements of 1 or 2 gases in a cost-effective, re-configurable package.

Solus utilises the latest in Tunable Laser Diode Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS), together with the best in micromachining technology, to deliver a precisely controlled narrow wavelength that can be tuned over a small range. The narrow linewidth allows for selection of precise spectral absorbance in the NIR region, free from cross-interferences of other absorbing gases. For some tuning ranges, a number of gases can be measured by tuning a single laser diode e.g. NH33 and H2O.

The Solus extractive TDLAS gas analyser range has been developed to incorporate the advantages in technology, including:

  • Very low cost of ownership and maintenance cost
  • Portable gas analysis
  • Reconfigurable for multi-gases with change of laser diode
  • Robust and light, including the latest in fabrication materials such as carbon fibre chassis and patent pending insulation design
  • Simple to use, quick to deploy and no need for consumable zero or span gases

For Integration into CEM

The core atmosFIR 19” rack multigas analyser that is provided in the atmosFIR CEM system can be removed and installed in an system by OEMs or system integrator. The analyser contains all internal sampling control, O2 sensor, purge valves. At 5U with in-built PSU, the FTIR analyser can be powered and connected relatively easily.

Protea’s FTIR control software allows for 3rd party software control via an OEM or integrated over various protocols, so front-end operations can be designed that enabled requirement of localisation.

Contact Protea for more information on using our analyser modules as an approved OEM.
