Apprentice Recruitment Despite Pandemic
18
Despite the global downturn for some markets, Protea has seen growth in this 12-month period that the world has been impacted by Covid-19. So much so that we have committed to staff recruitment, including new apprenticeships.
Kris Shelton has joined Protea and is following the Engineering Technician Level 3 course at Warrington and Vale Royal College (www.wvr.ac.uk). Kris is supporting his engineering learning with training in the electrical and mechanical assembly of Protea’s gas analysers and CEM systems.

Kris said: “Protea is providing an excellent environment to start my on-the-job learning of engineering principles and practices. There is a great team and I am getting to learn from experienced engineers and also fellow recently-qualified apprentices. I am looking forward to the next 3 years of learning at Protea, and hopefully a rewarding career following qualification. I’m really enjoying working here thanks for giving me this opportunity!”
