Supporting The Future Of Clean Energy
2
Protea has recently been on-site commissioning a new multi-stream analysis system for a novel Green Ammonia (NH3) synthesis project, a key step in the UK's journey toward net-zero emissions. As green ammonia continues to emerge as a promising carbon-free fuel and energy storage medium, accurate and reliable gas analysis is essential.
Protea's ProMass mass spectrometer has been configured to continuously measure Hydrogen (H2), Nitrogen (N2), and Ammonia (NH3) across five sampling points within the synthesis process, helping assess both product quality and plant efficiency.
Thanks to its true multigas capability, the system can also switch to low-level detection mode for monitoring ppm-level impurities such as water vapour (H2O), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and Oxygen (O2), ensuring high purity and process integrity at every stage. We’re proud to play a part in this innovative and sustainable project.
